Policies of  Conference Hosting Program

1. Introduction 

Animal Reports, published by Royal Academic Press (USA), welcomes collaboration with national and international scientific conferences aligned with the journal’s scope. Through our Conference Hosting Program, the journal provides selected conferences with an opportunity to publish high-quality research papers, subject to rigorous peer review and ethical standards.

This collaboration is governed by a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to ensure transparency, editorial independence, and academic integrity.

 2. Purpose of Conference Hosting

The Conference Hosting Program aims to:

  • Support scientific conferences by offering a reputable publication pathway for high quality papers.
  • Enhance the visibility and impact of conference research.
  • Maintain strict compliance with international publishing ethics.
  • Foster long-term collaboration between journals and academic communities.

 3. Scope of Eligible Conferences

Conferences applying for hosting must fall within the scope of Animal Reports, including but not limited to animal production, animal wildlife, and veterinary science (Journal scope). 

4. Role of the Conference

Hosting conferences are expected to:

  • Provide a platform for original, unpublished research.
  • Recommend high-quality papers for possible journal submission.
  • Clearly inform authors that: Submission to the journal is voluntary, acceptance is not guaranteed, and all manuscripts undergo independent peer review.
  • Acknowledge Animal Reports as a Supporting/Hosting Journal for Selected Papers on: Conference website, Brochures and programs, Electronic and printed materials.
  • Display the journal logo where appropriate.

5. Role of the Journal (Animal Reports)

Animal Reports commits to:

  • Promoting the conference through: Announcement on the journal homepage, email invitations to journal users, social media announcements (LinkedIn and Facebook).
  • Handling all submissions through the journal’s standard editorial system.
  • Applying independent peer review without influence from conference organizers.
  • Making publication decisions solely based on: Scientific merit, originality, and ethical compliance.
  • Publishing accepted papers with DOI assignment and full journal visibility.
  • Optionally organizing accepted papers into a thematic collection or special issue, at editorial discretion.

 6. Editorial Ethics and Independence

  • Conference hosting does not imply guaranteed publication of all papers.
  • Editorial decisions remain solely with the journal.
  • All submissions must comply with: Plagiarism policies, authorship standards, ai-use declaration requirements, and international publication ethics.

 7. Financial Policy

  • There are no financial obligations between the journal and the conference.
  • Any applicable Article Processing Charges (APCs) are handled directly between authors and the journal. (Currently the Journal is Free of APCs)
  • Conferences are not permitted to collect publication fees on behalf of the journal.

8. Duration of Hosting Agreement

  • Each hosting agreement is valid for the conference duration and a post-conference submission period of up to one month, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Either party may terminate the collaboration in writing without affecting manuscripts already under review.

 9. Legal Status

Conference hosting is governed by a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and does not constitute a legal or financial partnership.

10. How to Apply for Conference Hosting

Conference organizers wishing to collaborate with Animal Reports should submit:

  • Conference title and dates.
  • Organizing institution and official contact details.
  • Conference themes and scientific scope.
  • Expected number of submissions related to animal sciences.
