Emerging Scientist Award in Animal Sciences

Animal Reports (ISSN: 3068-5044, DOI prefix: 10.64636) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing knowledge, promoting sustainability, and fostering innovation in wildlife, animal production, and veterinary science. By publishing high-quality research freely available worldwide, the journal addresses critical challenges and emerging opportunities in these fields. A ward purpose:

  • To support the early career of an emerging scientist.

  • To attract outstanding research (Article) to be published in Animal Reports journal.

  • To encourage high-impact, ethical, and innovative studies in animal science, veterinary medicine, animal wildlife or related fields.

  • To enhance the journal reputation by rewarding excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

A.    General Requirements:

- Authors from low or mid-income will have priority.

- The MS must be an original research article.
- Open to all career stages (early career researchers encouraged).
- No restrictions on geography (wide geographical distribution encouraged).

- The second application from the same research group can be accepted if the first awarded paper gets at least two citations to ensure its scientific quality.

B.     Scientific Merit:

- Impact: Research should advance knowledge in animal science, veterinary medicine, or a related discipline.
- Methodology: Rigorous experimental design, statistical validity, and reproducibility.
- Clarity: Well-written in English, logically structured, and clearly presented findings.

C.    Ethical Standards:

- Compliance with ethical guidelines (e.g., animal welfare, authorship integrity, and journal publication ethics).

Award Benefits:

  • Waived APC if any.

  • Promotion (highlighted on the journal social media, and/or homepage ).

  • Monetary Prize ($200) paid after publication or selection of the selected paper.

  • Collaboration with Universities/Research Societies to encourage nominations

Evaluation:

  • Editor-in-Chief (Chair): Oversees the process.

  • Associate Editors (1-2): Assess scientific quality.

  • Single blind reviewers (2-3): Brings unbiased judgment.

How to apply:

Via Animal Reports submission systems and sending emails to Editor-in-Chief ask for considering your submission under the initiative of Emerging Scientist Award in Animal Sciences. The email must contain MS title, authors' affiliations, and abstract. Furthermore, high quality paper could be selected by the editorial team without authors application, then the authors will be announced.
