Animal Reports publishes high-quality original research, review articles, short communications, editorials, and perspectives covering all major disciplines of animal science, veterinary medicine, aquaculture, wildlife science, and related fields. | Publication Ethics & Compliance: Animal Reports adheres to established ethical publishing standards and follows the principles and guidelines of COPE, ARRIVE, National Research Council, and Declaration of Helsinki, where applicable.

| Peer-Review Process: Animal Reports uses a single-anonymous peer review process, in which all submitted manuscripts are evaluated by independent experts in the relevant field.

| Digital Preservation and Archiving: Animal Reports ensures the long-term preservation of its published content through participation in recognized digital archiving and preservation services, including the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN). The journal also encourages self-archiving of published articles in accordance with its Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). In addition, the journal is exploring opportunities for inclusion in other established preservation systems, such as PORTICO, to further strengthen its long-term archiving strategy.

| Publishing Language: Animal Reports accepts only manuscripts written in high-quality academic English.

Journal History:

| Animal Reports | journal was established in 2025 as an open-access scholarly journal. It obtained its electronic ISSN (eISSN: 3068-5044) in the same year, followed by the assignment of a print ISSN (pISSN: 3071-4141) in 2026, marking its transition to both electronic and print publishing.
